This movie focuses on a member of the British Government William Wilberforce and his work to abolish the slave trade in Britain.
You are to watch the movie in class and answer the questions. These will be turned in Monday. Amazing Grace Questions Over the next few days we will be studying the abolition of the slave trade in Great Britain. Britain had slaves all over the world, and there was a growing opposition to it despite it's continued popularity. One man, William Wilberforce, played a central role in riding the empire of slavery. This is all happening during the Industrial Revolution. As the government, economy, society, culture are changing, people began to work to end the slave trade as well.
