During the Great Depression President Franklin D. Roosevelt was elected President of the U.S. Upon taking over the country, he gave the inaugural address that you are about to read. As you read it, keep in mind the situation that the people are in during this time. Answer the questions at the end of the reading. THIS IS TURNED IN AT THE END OF THE DAY FRIDAY.
FDR Inaugural Address and Questions. The Great Depression was not simply an event which harmed the U.S. It was a global crisis which led to many problems. Today you will read about some of the responses that governments around the world came up with to fix the Great Depression. You will notice that many of the solutions created more problems (like Hitler).
